Home Improvement
Most people would take one look at this house and consider it a knock down. Well, with a little bit of optimism, vision, and hard work the builder was able to take this tired and dated Bryn Mawr home and transform it to modern main line living. Everything was updated to turn this cape-style home into a 3-story modern farmhouse.
Due to the original cape-style layout, one of our favorite attributes about the home is that it has a bedroom and full bathroom on the first floor. Given the current “work from home” lifestyle this makes for a great office that isn’t the extension of your guest bedroom or basement.
When you open the door and walk through the home it feels like new construction because it practically is – bright, stylish, and most important modern. Looking at the home now, it’s hard to remember what the home looked like prior to the renovation (see video below for before and after pictures).
Located in the prestigious Radnor Township this home features 4 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms and a partially finished walk-out basement with lots of extra storage. Two bedrooms and a hall bath are located on the second floor along with the primary suite. The primary suite includes a walk-in shower, freestanding soaking tub, and plenty of closet space. On the third floor you enter the fourth bedroom with a large bathroom and additional storage space.
The neighborhood is in walking distance to the Rosemont Station where you can conveniently take the Paoli/Thorndale line to Center City. Are you a Villanova University sports fan? Walk over to the pavilion or stadium to catch a game and cheer on the Wildcats. Join the Friends of Villanova Program to take advantage of on campus pool, fitness center and other recreational areas.

The work on the home was completed by Farley Construction Group. President Mark Farley has over 30 years' experience building and remodeling homes on the Main Line. If you’ve ever met Mark you know this isn’t just a job, it’s his passion.
